I need to replace my rod primarily used for shooting docks and was considering the 6’ G-Rod. The question I have is the recommended lure wileight is 3/16-3/8 oz. this seams really heavy to me for a crappie rod since most of the jigs I will be shooting or casting will be 1/16 oz. do you think this is a typo?

I got a rod from Carlos Rivera that was a game changer for me. I use G-Rods for jigging but this rod surpassed my expectations.

It might be a typo, but you won't have any problem shooting 1/16th oz jigs with it. I used mine on two differnt trips shooting docks last month and was very pleased....it REALLY loads up!

In my opinion, the 6ft G Rod is the finest dock shooting rod ever produced, and there's nothing I enjoy more than shooting docks.

I believe that statement coming from you just cost me $150! I will give them try. I will have to drive up to lake fork to get one. Is there somewhere up there that carries your baits?

Laner sold my 6' g-rod to me and I wouldn't take for it. I fish a lot of docks. They're great.

We have baits in Frankston, but that's as close as I've gotten. If you ever get in Fort Worth I'll bring the rods and the baits.

Where in Frankston? That is actually much closer to home for me. I live in Tyler.
