Must�ve been doing it right today. Went out to where I�ve been fishing the past few days and a guide was on it lol. I searched a couple more spots that I know near there and found a few but not what I was looking for. The guide left the spot so I figured wth. I didn�t have much more luck there. Decided to go on the opposite end where I�ve had good luck before but never anything of size. As I�m getting there I notice another boat and I might be going to the same area. I get on one hump and he gets on another. I figure out pretty quickly it�s a another guide boat. Almost immediately I had one on. It kept going like that for a couple of hours. During the frenzy I had on that fought harder than any hybrid I�ve had on before. He made runs that made my hands hurt from trying to keep the line tight. I finally get a look at him at the boat. Darkest green back hybrid I�ve ever seen. It was big too. Bigger than any I�ve had in the boat before. He saw me or the boat and took off down again. Pole bouncing and line peeling out again. My hands were starting to cramp up. It took a good several runs walking around to keep him from getting in trolling motor the first time. I think I got him tired out at this point and get the net. First thing I notice is that hes going to have to go in head first, he ain�t fitting sideways. Get him halfway in and he spooks and runs. Somewhere in there my braid broke and he swam away. I�ll never know how big it really was. That�s fishing though. I caught a few more up until 1:00 till the biting flys were unbearable. Everything I caught on the second area was 22-24� and all on live bait.

I only took one. After I lost the big one they were all big and fun but not that size. I need a go pro.

Great report! Sorry to hear about the one that got away but you told a great story there. Send me gps coordinates and I will go see if there are still there tomorrow! Just kidding, but I think I will head out and see what I can find.
