If you are wanting to watch your lure turn it up as fast as it will go

I run mine at 6 so I can see if it is repeating and I am where I want to be.

I would google it and find the youtube videos that match your model. I have done it and it works well. I have to change it to my fishing style for the day.

I set mine around 6 or 7 despite being stationary or slowly searching for fish on my Humminbird. This allows me to slab under and see fish response and lure at all times and in live time. I use to have it on 10 the whole time but just haven't found that to be necessary

I leave mine on 3, that's the setting that gives me the best picture when looking for fish. I leave it there when vertical fishing, I really don't care if I can see my jig on the sonar or not. I like fishing off the front of the boat, and the transducer is on the transom. Unless I am fishing really deep, the 200 khz sonar cone wouldn't see the jig anyway.

I'd like to hear what the Jedi Master, Slade aka Forkfish thoughts are on this...

Set it on 8. It refreshes at a great pace, but doesn't scroll too fast to interpret.
