Which model has the spot lock on it?
I think they call it something other than spot lock, but that is the best word I could think of.

Thanks

Don't forget to think about your entire network for future tie-ins.

MG = Lowrance integration.
MK = Humminbird integration.

We have to think in terms of systems of electronics now, instead of single components. In the future, they need to develop one standard for all communications so that you can network single components together regardless of brands. it is the best way to grow the pie, not by proprietary methods that is in existence today.

I have the xi5, and it's not cable driven. I don't think the X3 is either. You can get a wireless foot controller for it, but if you're used to cable systems, it will be an adjustment for sure. I never had a foot control before purchasing mine (only handle before); I didn't know what I didn't know. So the adjustment to handheld remote was not a factor.

My brother went from foot control to Xi5, and had not issues after the first weekend. He now swears by it, and he only bass fishes.
