what are some things you have bought for you boat that you would recommend, steer someone away from, and must haves. im not talking about fire extinguishers or throw cushions are anything youre required to have, more along the lines of scales and nets and stuff of that nature

The Green Elephant:

- Just really tough to find a place with so many docks and houses around the lakes.
- No more down time for the guy in the front of the boat.
- Stores away flat in the center compartment; not taking up hardly any room.
- Best accessory I have in the boat.
- Very comfortable for us old guys to use.
- The bagged results goes home to the dumpster and not in the lake.
- You can buy cheaper ones; but I like H-E-double-L for stout.

1. Ultrex.
2. Bubba Blade Pliers
3. Rapala High-Contrast 50 lb Digital Fish Scale
4. Rubber net: I think I have a EGO S2.

Outside of the boat here a few of my favorite fishing related items outside of the normal gear:
1. Simms Prodry (Fouz talked me into this embarrassingly expensive rain gear. LOVE the stuff.)
2. Ex-Officio Boxer Briefs (best out there, they are advertised as 5 weeks, 16 countries, one pair of underwear)
3. Northface mens storm sandal. (Gortex water proof shoe. Great to avoid wet feet while launching. Not much good once it gets hot thought)

If you're going to be tournament fishing, I would invest in a good quality balance beam. Scale will get you close but when you're culling by maybe fractions of ounces, there's too much variation. Along with this, get a set of cull tags, Cal Coast Clip-n-Cull is a good one.

I just hang it over the side and let her rip! Keep 4 paper towels in my pocket folded up nice and neat.

anchor rein on bass boat and duck boat are two "must haves" for me....mount them up on front of boat right behind receptacle for your running lights and put a brass snap on the end of the rope....when you are launching by yourself, just take brass snap and attach to the winch stand, back boat down and let it float off....anchor rein will pay out rope til boat floats off trailer then grab end of rope and pull boat to the bank on one side of trailer....with anchor rein, you have always got a length of untangled rope stored out of the way and enough length to reach way up on the bank to find something to tie off to or enough length to where you can use both your cleats on side of boat to tie off to a dock...cost about $80.00

Remote drain plug is probably the best accessory on my boat besides my Ultrex. I do like my Rigid Industries lights too.

The Bac Rac for the back of the boat. Stores 4 rods using the compartment door right in front of the motor! My dad fishes the back deck and loves it...
