Took off this morning from the ramp and put the hammer down,..beautiful morning, lake was like glass, whipped out into to the boat lane and we were on our way,...retirement is great, not another boat in sight. Not a care... Debbie hollars" hey there's a 'stump !".....what the heck,...turned around and we fished this log out of Fork.. It was floating vertical, bobbing up and down with about 6-8" out of the water. I missed this by about 15 feet..!!! It had to weigh about 80-100 pounds. Man, just missed what could have been a real mess... we took it to the bank in back in of a cove. Be careful out there.

Had the same thing happen several years ago on Fork. But we only missed it by a couple feet. At 60 mph. Turned around, tied a rope to it and towed as close as we could get to shore. Then wedged it between some stumps. Only this one was about 30' long and 12" in diameter. That could have ruined our day!
