I was invited to join some good friends on Ouchita in mid June. Never been on the lake. I certainly don't want anyone's secret spots just hoping to get some advice on techniques and some suggestions to already be mindful of going in.
Thank you!!!
Thank you Lord for the gifts in my life

They should be schooling on top. Otherwise float a worm (wacky). We'll be there later this month , I'll try to remember to post an update.

Ive been and didnt fish long for green fish, got interested in the stripers and walleye quick.
Graph the steep drains in 35-45 of water long enough and youll find a school of stripers. We dropped 1 oz spoons on em and had a blast. Walleye were found on top of humps in 20-25 of water. Also caught stripes 40 deep in the tops of trees 100 of water.
Beautiful lake for sure!

Tough lake in June. Throw a spook early and late and fish at night. Sometimes you can go up the rivers and catch them during the day in the water willow.

Im jealous my friend! I grew up on that lake and you will enjoy your time! Floating worms use to be a lot of fun and Carolina rigs in the trees. I havent fished it in years so thats just a guess.

I used to go on memorial day weekend, its been several yrs since Ive been though. However, I would use a red plum 10 zoom monster worm, 3/4oz war eagle spinnerbait in firecracker color. I would try and fish points around 10 or deeper, with some grass around. Late in the evening the Stipers would start chasing and busting the surface. Zara Spook worked good for that, mid day would be kinda tough with all the boat traffic and clear blue skys. Water is super clear and flourocarbon seemed to help on slow presentations. All in all its a pretty lake and with a ton of places that all look good, do some homework on the lake before you go. It helped me have a better idea of what to look for and places to try. If I can be anymore help let me know.
