Wanted to get the forums feedback on this. What are the different seasons for bank fishing? Basically, when should I go rigged for what? I know spring is good for Crappie and Bass. What about Summer, Fall and Spring? I fish Lewisville (Little Elm area specifically). We have some good access points for bank fishing so I was curious what to look for as the seasons change.
Thanks!

Spring = sand bass run, crappie spawn, bass spawn, carp spawn
Summer = catfish spawn
Fall = get a boat
Winter = crappie run

Personally I have best luck with catfish during the summer and fall.
The sandbass run, which is ending soon, is a blast in the creeks.

Interesting. I’ve also done well in the winter for catfish.
Thanks for the feed back. Curious to see if anybody else has any input.

If we have good rains to fill the lakes, then we could do fishing in spillways. Pretty good to catch all kind of fishes depends where you are fishing

I catch a bunch of crappie in creeks in the winter and alot of people chase big shallow blues in the winter months too.

Yeah in my experience, catfish are the most consistent as far as bank fishing.

Yeah in my experience, catfish are the most consistent as far as bank fishing. nothing wrong with that. After Crappie, cats and whites are pretty much tied for my favorites to catch anyway.
