I'm looking for a map chip to put in my humminbird helix unit to aid with navigation of the bays around Aransas Pass/Rockport. I fish primarily Freshwater right now in my center console and use the lake master chip from humminbird for the lakes in Texas. I'm planning some trips to the coast this summer and I wanted to get some opinions on map chips to use in my humminbird. Would a Navionics chip show me the bays, channels and inland waters on the coast? Thanks in advance for your help.

Don't depend on that GPS to navigate a shallow bay. It will show the shorelines fairly accurate, but judging water depth is not at all reliable.
