I don’t know that I’ve seen a post about Lake Buchanan in a long time(if ever) on here. Just wondering what the fishing is like or if there even is much fishing sice it lost so much water then filled back up.

My wife and her family were reminiscing about how they used to go there when they were little and were thinking about possibly resparking that tradition..I’m not encouraging it until I find out if it’s worth fishing...

There is a weekly Sunday event going on there, and it took over 26 3 weeks in a row to win. TTZ is coming up May 19th there, so we will see what it really takes to win. I personally lost a giant Friday while on a guide trip there. But I know where she lives come tourney day!

Agreed

Do you have a link to check out that event? I wouldn't mind fishing it.

Thanks

Lake record was broken this year too. That 25ft rise in water the past 4 years made a big difference

Nah, they can keep repeating on LBJ or Travis or Belton.

That's quite an oversight on our part, the fish weighed 11.75 on the guides scale. The scales had to be certified after weighing the fish, which has caused somewhat of a delay in getting the fish certified as a record. Thanks for pointing that out, we've updated the story.
