Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.

Teach a man to fish, he will sit in a boat all day and drink beer.

Nice fish. Love those spawning colors! What is the most colorful sunfish you catch? Also are there summer, fall, and winter colors on the sunfish?

Thanks Gitter for the reply. cheers The Longear by far has the best colors. Spring spawn is usually the most colorful time for the sunfish. They also show some nice colors during the summer and summer spawn. Winter time the colors seem to fade especially if the fish have been in deeper water! thumb

Thanks for the information Chuck. It seems to me that late March through April along with the month of October are the most colorful months for the sunfish.
