I'm new on Whitney. My third time to fish there.
Tried slabs, swim baits and even trolling.

Looked and fished from the island to the Nolan.

Going again tomorrow.
Please help.lol

This is a live shad lake. Those fish want nothing to do with artificials

I was out on Whitney today too, 2 keepers and 3 that we threw back. Tough day, couldnt find the schools this morning. Gonna try again in a bit.... we caught thiuse in umbrella rigs trolling with striper sniper 3.5 inch chartreuse swim baits. North wind..... it was tough. Live shad is good on every lake. Have always had good success trolling umbrella rigs. Oh yeah, caught them at the bridge. Would have been 3 keepers, caught 2 at the same time but one got off as I was pulling into the boat.

Better day today, Got 8 good ones in a couple hours trolling umbrella rigs ! They were finicky but we got some. I have a 100% success rate with umbrella rigs!! Get some for your tackle box! Amazon Alabama 5 arm with blades.... $10! Just trolling around the mouth of Whitney creek!

I went out Thursday evening to look for whites. Got lucky and caught a nice striper first cast but nothing else for the next 2 hours not even on the graph the rest of the evening. looked all over fron the bridge to the dam. Where did the whites go? I couldnt even find bait on my graph.

Bob Maindelle has some tips on finding them. I documented a trip with him, and learned a ton about finding them.

One 10-pounder is better than ten 1-pounders; but 100 1-pounders is ok too!
