Academy having sale online and they don't have the item!
I ordered that lews reel that was on a post last week. Awesome price, ordered, payed, waited. Then they send an email a week later saying, order canceled unable to fulfill thank you. What a heart breaker after checking mail every day hoping for new reel. You would think computer is tracking sales versus inventory, I think it got posted here on TFF and was flooded with sales. So everybody that actually received theirs congrats on being faster then me lol.

Academy ticked me off a few years ago for a similiar reason. Was looking for a kayak to play around in. Looked online to make sure in stock, called store to make sure in stock, went to store and spoke to someone to make sure in stock...all three of which said their computers showed to have multiple and never found the kayak I was searching for :l

Academy has sucked for a long time, more reason to shop local or TW. TW is the worst in the business. They will tell you an item is backordered for a week and then 6 months later keep adding a month to the delivery date. I have an order from November that has been due tomorrow for 6 months.

Academy has sucked for a long time, more reason to shop local or TW. TW is the worst in the business. They will tell you an item is backordered for a week and then 6 months later keep adding a month to the delivery date. I have an order from November that has been due tomorrow for 6 months.

Its the damn truth. I would have caught a pile of those 8-pound Sharelunkers if my Huddlestons would have come in

I know exactly what you're talking about. I ordered some dropshot hooks that were on back order In July of last year. I had forgotten all about them till they showed up in December, atleast I got them, six months later! I have some rods that have been on back order for three months, don't know if or when they are coming, I've gotten the same emails as you get.

That's not tw fault. Those dates are provided by the manufacture.

BPS did the same to me. Stuff happens, forget it and move on. They did this to me on the Ultrex. Said it was in stock online, just to verify I called and talked to 2 BPS associates and both told me they were in stock. Placed the order and boom get an email from them saying its on back order. Called several times and no one can tell me when its shipping.

Thank god im not the only one! Been waiting on a Lucky Craft Sammy 85 in American Shad since August! Got it thinking it looked good for schooling fish in the fall and now its almost May
