I bought a Helix 9 last weekend and was going to install on my Skeeter bay boat with tunnel hull & jack plates. I didn't think about until I went to install the transducer but the back of the boat is pretty crowded and with side imaging I know it can't be very close to anything. I'm sure there are boats out there that are just as limited on the back as mine but I didn't want to do trial and error and drill a bunch of holes. Any help would be appreciated.

Your hull may require a left/right SI splitter cable and an additional SI transducer.

Post a picture of the transom with the outboard trimmed up all the way.

You may need to trim your motor up just a tad bit to get a clear shot across.

This will keep you from drilling into the boat and allows for the transducer to be adjusted if needed.

To the left of that is the intake for my pump, that won't interfere with side imaging? Also how is this going to prevent me from drilling into the boat?

The Stern Saver is epoxied to the transdom. You then screw the transducer to the Stern Saver. Adding the Stern Saver will give you the clearance out from the pump intake.

So is the epoxy just a marine silicone or do I need some kind of "special" epoxy?
