Huddleston has been successful defending their design in the past. This is the problem I see with the tackle industry as a whole.

The 979 patent is the vortex tail. BPS will have their hands full defending that the XPS Slo Mo doesn't infringe on patent #7627979

Do It copied a Megabass jighead for one of their molds as well. It happens daily in the fishing industry. To me guys like Ken at Huddleston, Mickey at 3:16 and many others etc are true artists and build baits that knockoffs will never measure up to.

Anyone fished the Bass Pro knock off? How does it compare to the Huddleston?

I highly doubt the bps version fishes near the same as a true hud. Most swimbait guys will stick to the original on the principal of it also

They all do it how about Bull Shad same tail design , Innoactive Beaver bait went against Strike King case settled or not much of a patent Strike King won. The hold thing itís like a joke put it out there and let competition handle it.

The guys who know better are already buying Huddleston. It's the potential new customers, some of which would be lifetime customers, that Huddleston is losing out on due to the cheaper BPS option. That's what is really frustrating them.
