Any body have an opinion on Lowrance Hook 7" triple shot.
Going to upgrade my existing unit.
It has down scan, side scan, and GPS.
Just for crappie fishing.

I just sprung for the Elite TI7 over the Hook 7 triple shot - the touchscreen & ease of use was what finally decided me. The touchscreen makes using, adjusting, and doing whatever else you would like to do - a LOT easier/faster. You can do it just via the normal buttons, and the hook7 does a good job of that - but the touchscreen is a LOT move intuitive. When you add the networking options (for software updates & saving maps) - it was worth the extra money for me.

And it's only like $200 more. Personally I think the price point between the hook2 and the Elite Ti's are too close. The Ti's off lots more for only a few dollars more.

Yeah but the ti is 699$ vs$399 better yes but if on a budget $200-$300 more is quite a step up.

If your budget better fits the Hook2 series, it is a good unit and very nice for the money.
NOTE: Lowrance makes the HOOK2 7-Inch unit in a 7xTS model and a 7TS model. The 'X' indicates no lake mapping. You will have a blank screen to provide you GPS trails and Weigh-Points, but no mapping of the lake. If you don't need lake mapping the 7xTS is an awesome unit. For more info than you may want, the Hook TS models provide Downscan, Sidescan & Sonar. The Hook HDI models provide downscan & sonar (no side scan). Hope this helps.
Go for it, great units!
