Helping a buddy get a Nitro setup.

1996 180TF (17.5ft)
1996 Tracker (Mercury Marine) 115hp motor

Coming with a 17p stainless prop (dont know brand)

To me that sounded wrong...motor is rated up to 5250rpm and it seems like the 17p would spin faster than that.

Obviously, we need to get it out and run it and see...but saying motor is healthy and working fine...what would be good pitch and type of prop for this boat.

Dont want to be a super dog out of the hole, but would like to take advantage as much top end as possible.

Mid 40's is fine.
