Most of the immediate flats north of the airport are going to be too shallow, even in a kayak. The flats to the west of the canals/airport before Pelone Islands are good for floating. Continuing west to East Flats is another option or a slight north to Little Flats as well. I've had better luck in the Spring and Fall.

Can't figure it out on Google Map. How far is it from the ramp to Shamrock Cove by kayak? Thanks.
