Well, I lost my partner for this Weekends tournament due to an unforeseen family emergency..

If that wasn't bad enough, he had the bigger, better boat, especially for the forecast of high North winds this Weekend, no way I'm taking my 16.5' Stratos out in that..

I found a couple of fish practicing last Weekend, but not really a pattern..

Does anybody need a backseater this Weekend?, I'll share expenses and such..

PM me if interested..

Your boat should be able to handle 20 mph winds and still be safe. 20 years ago I was fishing out of something about the same. Just had to approach it a little different. Maybe the winds will get real high and Chad will make it a Trailer event and then you will be set to go for sure. If not hope you find a backseat on such short notice. Or better yet ask your buddy where he leaves the keys lol

Thanks Ranger 1..

I haven't paid any money yet, so, If I don't find a backseat, I'll take it as a sign to err on the side of caution and stay home. But, like most tournament fisherman, the thought of everyone else out there competing without me, drives me nuts...

No caution, go for it you'd be amazed what you could do! Confidence is your first key to the rest of them. If i stayed at home i would have never met my wife, never made an amazing living and sure sure as hell wouldn't be on here telling you to get after it. Everyday is an opportunity! Good Luck! thumb

If you need a co-angler, I'll share the expenses. Just moved to Lake Worth haven't done tournaments here. I lived in west Texas and always did south division in champs and budlight. I sold my boat before the move and planning to get another soon.

Smart man. You know your safety limits and are sticking to them. I applaud that.

Do they trailer on Roberts? If so, that's an easier option in a smaller boat

Just fish the back of the marina, check the rules as what part is off limits, but you will be fine and safe. Fish have moved up. Several tournament sacks have won there out of that cove this year.

I hope they(Basschamps) make the right decision to trailer like they did at Fork for the safety of the anglers. 25mph North wind on Ray Bob is no joke.

Gonna be dangerous if this forecast holds up trailering or not. Especially if it gets any west in it at all.

Anyone that fished RR this past Saturday knows that it isnt a lake to play with when it comes to high winds! Some of my buddies that fish it on a regular basis couldnt stay out there all day. It was crazy!
