Fished Medina last Friday morning from light till 1:30.. We caught scattered fish in the back of Elm Creek, where rock turned to flats with scattered bushes.. But nothing to set the world on fire..

When we got out of the shallower water we did a lot better on banks with some steep slope on them. Especially where there was a small point or jut out of rock. Lots of times we were sitting in 30-40 feet of water throwing at the bank..

It was about a full moon that morning and the fish really started biting about 11:30.. Typical in my mind.. And a stiff north wind most of the morning didn't help..

Best bait was a W/M Red trick worm with some Chart on the tip.. Texas rigged.. Light weight..

Lake was about 19 feet low +-..

One keeper!!

Thanks for the info. I haven't been about to get out there for a few weeks. Hopefully I'll be able to get a few hours in this weekend. The weather report is calling for 20+ MPH winds on Saturday so who knows.

I read that a lot of the fish had spawned already, but cruising around the banks the other day I couldnt find a single bed. Im sure some spawn deeper, but surely some come up shallow.
