I'll be going to Eisenhower Park, mid-month, with my son's den. Anyone have some hints on where/how to entertain these guys with some fishing? I will be there a day ahead of the group, so I could salt some likely (need help with identifying the likely part too) areas with range cubes and/or cotton seed cakes.
Thanks for the help,
ed

Hit the rocks near the swim area with 3/4 oz cast master.. should be able to catch some smallmouth... good luck.. report back.. use to always do good on a h&h spinnerbait (black and yellow) in that area thumb

Also, that might be a good time to find some crappie in the backs of some of the coves around there. They usually move up around then on the big Tex. Minnows on a bobber might work if you can find a good spot.

How old are the kiddo's? Are we talking cub scouts or older? A worm and bobber would work especially if you have 20 kids at a time trying to fish. I was there this weekend and we caught two small large mouth bass and and managed one small black crappie. So they are starting to move shallower. Good LUCK!!
