Had Bob Berry and his son out for a little sand bass action. After the big rains last week and putting the fish down they returned with the vengences. They had their limit in a little over an hour. We found them on shallow water humps and slopes, 16 to 23 feet of water. All fish caught on ole uglies slabs and flies. They kept a 2 man limit for a fry. It is just going to get better. Have some week days open in the next 3 or 4 weeks and some week ends in last week of april and some weekends in may. Give me a call at 817-597-6598. Johnny

Put two flies above your slab and really go to town!

Good Job! It looks a little calmer than it was yesterday out there! I didn't find and sandies, but found the cats instead.

Notaguide I put 4 flies above a slab and caught 5 at one time. After spending a few minutes trying to untangle the line I just got the knife out and starting cutting. I swore I would never do that again. What A mess. I even have a picture of it. Johnny

In my humble opinion, trying t catch multiple fish at a time is simply a meat-haul. Maybe that's what the angler wants - fish to eat. But, if you are catching and releasing, it is more sporting and fun to catch one fish at a time. You against that fish. You can feel all its tactics to get loose - not two fish fighting against one another.

Just my humble opinion but it gets boring pulling up 2-3 pounds of whites after a while. Getting the chance of adding extra weight to the haul makes for a little more fun. FYI, I never keep fish

Dennis I agree when I did the five thing it was one of those "I wonder If I could do That moment". We were in a huge school. Never again. Johnny

I fished EM from noon until dark friday and never caught any sandies (only saw one caught), just a few few lost small blacks. This lake is driving me crazy. Johnny looking forward to fishing with you.
