Caught nothing but bucks today. Caught them shallow in backs of creeks, caught them on rocky secondary points in 5-10 FOW. Spinner bait & c-rig.
So, in your experience, what does this say about bigger fish? I dont necessarily mean donkeys but good fish. Where do you tend to move if youre finding nothing but shorts in different columns? I saw bait and fish in the 20+ FOW range but it was all in no nothig areas without structure or cover so I didnt expect them to be bass and I didnt bother trying to catch any.
If you can't find em wind em.

Depends on the lake, just because you're catching bucks doesn't mean females are close by. I was on LBJ today and saw a bunch of males on beds then late in the day a wave of females pushed up. There are big fry everywhere already too.

I was on RR. Caught nice fish the previous day and nothing but bucks the next day. Didnt know if just catching bucks is an indicator of something that experienced anglers have learned.
If you can't find em wind em.

I had the opposite problem yesterday. All of the bucks I had been catching disappeared and we only caught a small number of solid female bass. Not complaining but I had gotten use to one bite every 15 minutes or so.
