Been fishing since I was old enough to hold a rod and reel and came across an unbelievable sight today. I haven't seen a bed fish all year in the DFW area but then came across this monster! My biggest Bass is a little shy of 11 pounds and I am pretty sure she will top that. I flipped a T-rig at her 3 times and could bonk her on the head and she would hardly even move. No doubt in my mind I could have caught her if I wanted to......and probably would have but she was rolling and spewing eggs as I was taking these pics. In all my life I have never seen one actually laying eggs like that. I was content to just watch and take pics. Besides I am pretty sure I caught this same exact Bass about 4 years ago in nearly the same spot when she was around 8 pounds. grin

For reference her boyfriend is probably 5+ pounds. The girth on this fish was out of this world! And in case you are wondering this a major public lake....no farm pond Bass.

Cool. I've seen bass spawn like that at Fork before. But they weren't as big as these.

Water couldn't have been over foot or foot and a half deep. WOW.

I am a Senager. (Senior teenager) I have everything that I wanted as a teenager, only 50 years later. I don't have to go to school or work. I get an allowance every month. I don't have a curfew, I have a drivers license,a PU truck and I have a bass boat.

Cool pics !! Saw a giant one at Fork Saturday doing the same except in 2-3f fow. When she went nose down her tail was out of the water!!! Stayed there over an hour and like you she was not interested in jig, fluke, stick bait, etc..... Was in open area and most were going over the top of her looking for shallower beds they could see better.

Its a little deeper than that but not by much. First pic she is in probably 1' of water. The other pics she is in 2.5'-3' of water. Its a pretty sharp drop on that bank. Couple of times her tail was out of water when she was nose down. The ripples from her tail being out of the water is what caught my attention to begin with.

I am working on getting a underwater GoPro here tonight. If the rain doesn't mess the water up and she is still in that spot tomorrow I am going to go set up a camera on her for a hour or so.
