Worked all day for 20 pounds again today on Fork. We did find two big ones but they where a little to fresh. Been a grind out here with the mud but a crappy day has been 20-22#s and the big girls are on their way up. Fingers crossed for some dang sun to help heat things up as it's about to bust wide open but the cloudy days keep holding things up. Water temps have been 65-73 and water clarity resembles cow poop but if you take your time while looking in the right areas you can get em locked on quick, lots of our fish have been 1-4 flips and they are in the boat. The whole lake seams to be similar in color so it all seems to have the sam step for the most part. This is causing fish to be in nearly every creek

If you don't want to look at them I'd suggest flipping trees on points leading into spawning flats or if you water hits 70 get up on the flats and flip any and all cover with a beaver, lizard or brushhog. Watermelon red, black and blue & green pumpkin have been the three colors to use in my boat. Also use the lightest weight possible for the conditions dicteded by wind and water depth.

For you guys who like to fish slowww don't worry they are eating senkos & wackyworms on grass lines.

Great report, thank you! With the rains coming this week, how do you feel it will effect the fishing?

Ty & It will effect them, gates will be opened making water levels fall and keep the female hesitant to push compleatly up

I have had a few brutally tough days but we almost always manage to find a hot spot. Flipped every tree on a spawning flat the other morning with zero bites. Went and tried again on a smaller later in the day and wham, 5 fish from 4-6# and we ended the day on that high note

It's a toss up really, I enjoy both along with chasing big bucks with clients

That water in the last two pics looks great. Too bad this rain is going to mud it up again. Thanks for the report. You always tell the good, bad and the ugly. Rare on Fork.
