Considering making drive to Cypress in morning. How’s fishing been? Water temps?

Was only 60 degrees this morning. Only small fish for me; was much better two weeks ago when it was cold.

Fished it last Saturday...only saw a few on beds but wasn't looking that hard either. Covered lots of shallow water with white spinnerbaits and boated 17, largest only about 4 lbs. Fish that missed the spinnerbait would pick up a creature bait pitched right after. Others also did well on creature baits in natural colors.

We caught them ok on Friday and Saturday. Most fish came on a weightless fluke and most came in or tight to grass, reeds, or any kind of bank brush. a few came off docks. No giants but the quality of fish seems to be a little improved this year. Instead of a bunch of 1 lbers with an occasional 2, it was a bunch of 2 lbers with an occasional 3.

Fished Friday, good bite early, everything on plastic. Few decent ones.
