Well, I waited 4 days and went back out to see if I could find whites on main lake structures. I looked in the dam area and saw none at East Dam Hump, Dam Hump West of the Pole, and Campbell's Hump. But then found good bunches of fish on Dam Ridge and Staubach Hump. My sister Dee and I caught 85 in about 3 hours. Water temp now 56 degrees. A dozen of the 85 were 10 to 12 inch short hybrids, so folks be careful if you are keeping fish. It was a sunny day and we caught the fish on #4 SILVER Mepps spinners. Most of the whites were 10 to 12 inches with about 5 going 13 to 15 inches.

Went out yesterday with lenahorse and etu. Fishing stunk! We managed to find a few, but they were VERY reluctant to bite. The 3 of us only managed 11 legal fish - 9 whites and 2 keeper yellow bass. I suggest waiting several days before trying white bass on Cedar Creek Lake structures. No doubt many if not most of the fish are up the creeks spawning. Dennis

Update: I went out by myself the very next day (Wed 3/14) and caught 53. But it was much calmer, and I was able to check the best spots. In the past week I have noted this pattern: On warm days with water temp reaching 62 I was able to catch some good fish in 12 to 16 fow. Then fronts come in and cool water back to 58 or so and I can only find fish back on the deep humps in 20 to 24 fow. That was the case yesterday - I caught fish at Kevin's Point, 3-Jug Hump, Long Ridge West and the middle of Long Ridge in 20 to 23 fow. Water temp was 58 degrees. And, I caught a 17.5 inch hybrid - the biggest in a month. I think fish are starting to move back in the lake from the creeks, and as it gets and stays warm, shallow structures will start producing in addition to the deep structures.

Went out from 2 to 3:30PM today to check the shallow structure bite. Went to Key Ranch Drop-off and found em in 13 to 15 fow. These were the bigger 13 to 15 inch fish. Ended up with 30 whites and a nice cat. All caught on #4 silver Mepps casting and retrieving along the bottom. Water temp was 62 degrees.

Several females still had eggs, so guess these decided to stay in the lake to spawn. The good news is that, with fish biting on shallow humps in addition to the deep ones, it opens up a lot more places to look for fish.
