Been about 6 years since I bought a new boat. I bought a skeeter two weeks ago. I was getting ready to head to the lake and noticed I dont have a sticker or numbers on my boat. I cant remember if the dealer files for those or do I ? And am I ok to fish without them until they come in?

You have to get them from TPWD. Youll need sales invoice, title to the boat, and motor, and youll have to fill out some forms at the TPWD. The dealer should have provided most, if not all of the paperwork so you can fill it out before you go.

if you bought it from a texas dealer the dealership is responsible for collecting taxes an registration you should have received an e tag for your trailer an a cardboard red an white tag to run your boat until it is registered an they send you your metal trailer tag an registration card to carry with you .
