Don't know the exact model but I have a Minn Kota trolling motor and during an extremely windy day at LBJ, I accidentally stepped on the speed control knob and broke it off. I have ordered a new one but from looking last night, I'll have to take off the rotating pedal part to be able to remove/install the new knob. Can't see any screws and it looked like you would need to take out the pin that the pedal rotates on to get it off. Can't find anything online but any of you TFF guys ever done this? Doesn't seem to just pop out. Thanks in advance

MinnKota website will have an exploded view of the foot pedal that may give a clue as to how it's assembled.

Its probably not a Maxxum either. You can see the underside of the speed control on them and the lock ring on the inside is easy to see. Best part though is that you did not break the speed control pot. Its part of the assembly and you would have to buy the control board or find a direct replacement part like I did. The control board is over 100 bucks but the pot is only 5 or 6, don't remember. Looks like this one. I know, more than you wanted or needed to know.

Its an edge, and yes, I'm glad that I didn't break that piece
