I have a 40 lb thrust trolling motor used for pond fishing. Don't want to keep taking a battery out of the boat. Can I get 5-6 hours of performance out of a smaller battery?
If so, what type?
Thanks

I used a 3 year old group 27 wet cell battery that I took out of my boat and pond fish with out any issues. However if your transporting a battery in your pick up I would upgrade to a agm battery to prevent an acid spill.
