I'd wager 90% of today's kayakers wouldn't be able to stay upright in that kayak. Kayaks of 15-20 years ago were superior paddling kayaks than today's wide beam tanks.

The rounded hull does make it feel a little twitchy at first. Was just thinking that if someone that is an experienced paddler had a teenager or lighter weight son or daughter that wanted to learn, it would be the best one to start out in before learning how to fish out of it. Lots of good memories when I see some of the older kayaks that were discontinued.
