When fishing bait off the bottom from jetty or pier, which is better (if it makes any difference)?:

3-way rig

Drop shot rig

Sinker (slip or fixed) in line with bait at end

Fishing, a man knows a serenity of soul and peace of mind that he finds in doing nothing else, and it makes no difference whether or not he catches anything. The mind of a true fisherman is not on petty subjects.

Wouldn't you just lose sputnik/spider sinkers constantly at the jetties? Pier I can agree.
