Any way to wacky worm for bigger fish, without losing fish due to small hooks?

What is the largest weedless hook do you use for this kind of fishing. Do they make a 4/0 or 5/0 hook for this application.

Unless you are fishing in really "rough" brush there is often times no reason to fish with a weedless hook. Most any type of hook will work. I often use the regular offset hook either for weightless rigging and or even switch to a wacky rig. BUT, there is even some other hook styles also. I have had very very good luck with the Daiichi D48Z Catch and Release Wacky Hook. It comes in 2/0 and 3/0. Once hooked the fish can't throw it since it is a circle hook.

Falcon Hooks also makes a widegap weedless weighted hook in larger sizes.

I use a Gamakatsu Wide Gap Finesse Hook 4/0. They make a "weedless" version but I don't bother with them.

Steve, there is a small company down near Fork that makes an awesome hook specifically for this. I will find out the name and text it to ya.

I use a 05 weedless Eagle Claw hook.. The hook bends when in the trees, but so far I have not lost a fish to a bent hook. I have lost fish in the trees/brush when they are deep in the brush and I can not turn them quick enough... The wire weedless keeper bends real easy and I have to change out the hooks after catching several fish. i have caught a 9.03 LMB and a 9.34 LMB on the stick bait fished wacky style... And may other as well, just not as large...

I am not sure the weedless is needed, but it sure helps my confidence in fishing in the brush.
