Take out your float tube again. The last time turned out to be quite an adventure.

Float tube is out. Even sell it and the flippers if anyone interested.
Thinking about going and going are two different things. Looking at relatively smooth level bank where I can park close to the water, set out a couple of baited poles, sit in my chair and wait.

I see people fishing both sides of two mile bridge every day, especially the west end
Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

Been a long time, but the N.W. side of the 2 mile bridge.

Check out the SE side of the 2 mile bridge. See people there all the time on weekends. I would go during the week. Hit the shad spawn and you will catch something.

Get out there and get you some Charlie!
I would suggest some shad for bait. Fresh is best and fish those on the bottom for blue or channel cat. Might get into sandies too with those. If you cannot catch some ask some other anglers I bet they would spot you a few.
Also good old worms will get about anything just fished on the bottom.
