Probably $4 more hour is she worked weekend shift or night shift

No. $10/hr more than she was working nights. Nurses start out at $24-$25/hr around the metroplex, and shift differential isn't all that great. They make their money on overtime.

Where I worked the starting pay (new grads) was $25.75 / hr with three guaranteed raises that brought them up to $31.75 hour in one year. Night diff was $4.50 hour and weekend pay (fri night until mon 7am) was $6.00 hour. For example a nurse with one plus year experience could make Up to $42.25 hour. Expert nurses could start at $42-45 hour + diffs. Lot of overtime was available as well as bonuses starting in the fall through early spring. 12 shifts per 28 days was full time.
None of my friends are there, yet. They have been RN's from 1 to 4 years. The one that went PRN is an ED nurse. She did make $1000/day when she was asked to go work in Houston after Harvey hit. However, that was 24 hours a day with little breaks, she said.

Getcha a camper and a fire cracker stand and setup shop at some 4 way stop on some rural FM roads, maybe in the city limits if the town allows it. Have your wife a kids run it during the day.

You like softball, so this would be right up your alley!

Invent and create a product (let's just say a trolling motor mount) and put it on the market. It takes me a hour or so to completely put one together from my machinist (I do 30 - 40 at a time) and get them ready for shipping. Then I just wait for orders to be placed and off they go all across the country. The 60K per year will let me pay off my new boat in two years and I paid cash for all the major stuff (HDS 12 graph, Xi5 tm (with a LiftSaver of course), dual seats, anything else I want) for the boat/fishing.

If I advertised them in a national fishing magazine, I bet I could double the income but I already have a 100K plus job. Plus I invented/created a safety valve that will hopefully be in every compressed gas cylinder in the world and I am currently going through the development and patent process now. That one will allow me to retire very early. thumb

You better have really thick skin if you want to go that route.

When the first digital SLR cameras came out back in 2002-03, I bought one because I liked to take pictures. That escalated at hyper speed, had ties to the real estate industry, opened a studio, spent tons of $$, made tons of $$$, somehow ended up shooting rodeos and events. Got burned out, got rid of the studio, sold off/gave away a bunch of equipment and enjoy picking and choosing what I want to shoot. Now every little Sally Sue "is a photographer" with their iPhone. Once a passion, turned into a business, now the industry is so saturated with cameras, you can't make any money.

So yeah, I wouldn't suggest being a photographer.
