Pretty bad storm at LOP yesterday that hit Brushy Creek. There was 1 fatality, that I know of. The park will be closed until further notice. Sad deal for sure.

Saw that. Got some family that live south of there in a place called Nesbitt. Got some hail that cut down limbs and such. I heard the woman who died was sleeping in a tent when a tree fell on it.

I live a couple miles north of Nesbitt and the power was out but no bad hail or wind damage at my place. Was in Arkansas killing the crappie and missed the storm. Prayers for the folks at Brushy Creek.

There were two confirmed deaths from what was originally called a tornado, but was later changed to 80-90 mph straight line winds. They say Brushy Creek campground could be closed for months until it is cleaned up.

same storm came through our neighborhood between Longview and Hallsville Saturday night but it had apparently lost a little steam by the time it got here. We got some rain, stiff winds, and a few pieces of hail but nothing major. cant imagine riding that kind of a storm out in a campground. prayers for all involved.

Our place is in Copeland creek / crystal cove area, we had pine tree 80 ft tall twisted off and broke into. Neighbor roof 1/2 blown off, our pier is gone. The ceiling fans on deck torn off. It was bad.
