Going fishing at Bastrop in a couple weeks and would like to stay near the lake if there are any out that way! Haven’t been out there in 15 years and just wondering where you guys stay that visit that lake . Thanks

Gazillion places in town of Bastrop. 10-15 minutes from lake.

Reach out to the state park and stay in one of the cabins right on the lake.

You might want to stay at Loblolly's Pine Village which is on Highway 21 a little East of town. It is away from town and you can park your boat right outside your room and have less worries than staying in town and worrying about your boat outside. It's not fancy but it is conveniently located regardless of which ramp you plan to use (South or North).

Is that the old Lake Bastrop Lodge? If it is, I didn't know it had reopened under a new name. The rooms in the main building were very nice and the rooms in the other building were nothing great but were clean. I liked staying there before it closed down. The cabins in the South Park of the lake are not bad. They don't have a bathroom in them but are right there at the lake. They have 2 sets of bunk beds. I prefer the cabins in Osprey Point. They have better boat parking. The cabins on the water do not have good boat parking. The bathrooms by the cabins on the water are nice. There are 4 bath/shower combos. Each unit has a toilet and shower inside and they have locking doors for each unit. The bathroom by the Osprey Point cabins is not as nice. If you can get a cabin inside the state park, they are nice and less than 10 minutes from the lake. They have bathrooms with showers. Some of those cabins don't have great boat parking. Hampton Inn is nice. They usually have boat parking in the back if they are not extremely full but you will need a very long extension cord to reach the building.

Have a Blessed Day,
Mike
