With all the rain here lately, lots of muddy water around. I always hear "slow down, use a dark, loud crankbait". What is your favorite crankbait for muddy water? Or what do you like to throw in muddy water?

Chartreuse/white spinnerbait or a chartreuse/blue back squarebill.

I throw green pumpkin Biffle bugs in muddy water. Very tight to cover.....so I know it hits the bass on the nose. Works for me.

Only caught one yesterday (on red craw square bill) and was thinking tonight - should have gone with the black chatterbait!!!

Grew up fishing the biggest mud hole in Texas....Lake Livingston. A dark purple spinnerbait with a single copper Colorado blade will get you bit in the mud.

I throw black 8 inch lizards, Texas rigged with rattles stuffed in them. At a very slow twitch. Just enough twitch for them to locate it.

Black and blue chatter bait with a black neon hyper freak or rage craw trailer, chartreuse black squarebill, a half ounce Santone Fouzman color ratlin jig with a hyper freak trailer or black Santone spinner bait with a big single Colorado blade. As conditions merit based on water temperature and wind speed.

I might have to challenge you with that one. Lake Nasworthy aka "Lake Nastywater".
