Those worthless WalMart batteries that last longer than the high priced batteries and have the same warranty.

Sure ..as long as you pop those "maintenance free" caps off of it and add water.

If it's a lead acid battery, it need its levels checked periodically.

It will overfill if you keep squeezing the bottle. I can't see my batteries, so I unstrp them and turn them so I can see the water level. Main advantage for the water bottle is it doesn't spill water everywhere when moving from one cell to the next.

I may need to start but I have never checked the water level in a sealed maintenance free battery. I just replaced a 3yr old set of batteries in my boat. The old batteries are still fine I just don't like to ruin a days fishing due to faulty old batteries. I installed the old batteries in my farm truck. I will pry the top off the old batteries and check the water level. The batteries that I took out of the farm truck were 5yrs old and nearly spent. They started their life in my boat as well.

Rick - here is something you might be interested in - I don't have this BTW. I like the DIY from Chu and 361V.

that is exactly what I need! Thanks UJC! I have one battery tucked up under the rear deck that is a bugger to get in or out. I have to removed the fuel filter and other battery just to get to it.

I'm tired of getting close, using a mirror and a syringe
