I have an upcoming trip to Palestine and haven't been there before. If anyone has some local knowledge on baits, colors, or areas that would be great.
thanks

There's been a few threads about Palestine in the last week. Use the search feature or just go back a few pages.

Just about any of your normal spring time baits are working right now. I've been doing real good with tx rigs lizards, and full size brush hogs. Blk/red are best colors. Thumpers and traps as well. North end is muddy, but lots of good fish down south right now as well. Good luck!

If your trip is this coming weekend, I would skip the north end of the lake and focus on Highsaw/Ledbetter/Coffee or maybe that big cove by the Villages. Been some good fish caught there lately if you can find the clearer water. Kickapoo and Flat and other stumpy shallow water spots up north might clear up in a couple of weeks and be good again
