Ok over the last few years I bought some new gear and finally realized there are reasons b3hind gear ratio to rod type and length and linking that to jigs, square bills, plastic swimbaits etc.. can I get some help, here is what I have, what would you put where and lure used.

Tatula CT100h. 6.3
Tatula R 100xs 8.1
Lews BB1z 5.1

Wright McGill 8 ft med fast
Basspro IM 6 7 ft 6 med fast
Quantum IM 8 6 ft 6 med

Please this is not a thread telling me to throw everything away and start over. Lol.

I would use the 6'6" rod and the lews reel for cranking,I have a Wright McGill 7' med. fast and it is more of a crankbait rod to me also,so as far as jigs or worms it seams to me you have 3 crankbait rods.I would use the Tatula 8.1 for jigs or worms and the same for the other reel. Not much help I guess.

Thank you BKS, I actually have another Wright and McGill with open face on it thats a medium action and 6 6 that I have braid on and usually throw texas rig or carolina off of. What would I look for in a good flippen pitching rod? Other than light weight, would you want a medium action or heavy and is longer better?
