Hi,

I’m heading to Lake Fork this coming weekend, Saturday Feb 24. I am going with my daughter and really hoping to catch some fish; I get to keep all sizes! Can anyone provide some insights on where to go? Bridges, dam, timber, and are they still deep? I was also hoping to catch some yellow bass but I was just going to try by the dam for them.

Stop by the Thermocline bait shop on your way over, talk to Todd, buy some of Belinda’s baits (I love them personally)... I bet Todd will be willing to help you with your questions...

Where is the thermocline bait shop located?

They are on FM 515 if you are going east on Fm 515 from Emory they are on the left just before the lake, if you are coming down HWY 154 go right on FM 515 go over the lake and about a mile or so you will see them on the right , Google is a hit and miss with businesses in East Texas, bring your rain gear and be careful, the weather man is saying Saturday could be rough.

If it was easy, everyone would do it

bass champs, storms, winds, and having a daughter with you are all reasons I would reconsider going out saturday. Look to sunday. Sunny, no wind, warmer. Good luck to you either way and go see Todd!

Even though Sunday is going to be nice, the Sabine is at full flow and Fork is on the rise. No doubt there will be a lot of floating 'stuff' in the lake. I'll be at my place on Fork Sunday, but the boat staying on the trailer.

I have received 6.25” of rain so far and more on the way, they have ALL “5” gates open and will for some time.
