Our neighbors just texted us and we said we'd drive over on the way back from Tyler.

That positioning appears to be almost exactly where the gas line runs across the bottom of the lake . . . from the AMWA building and adjacent land over and slightly west of the ramps.

It's a popular place for the crappie guys I understand, fishing that pipe.

Maybe a new pipe?

Brad

Saw one of those on Palestine in the back of saline bay. Guess there is some giant salvinia there too.

It was still there yesterday. You cannot access areas West of the ramp (ie: under the bridge). Tx Parks & Wildlife supposedly sprayed the affected area of the lake.

You can still access them. They said you can go right over them. Just yank the big motor out of the water before it reaches the line.

Yes drive over it. JUST don't the big motor over and tear it up.

Blindshot,

They put them up to stop the spread of invasive aquatic vegetables which are easily transported as it is, dont drive over them, you pick up a hitchhiker on your transducer or jack plate or wherever then go back over to the unaffected side with your hitchhiker youre just making it worse

I thought the boom was placed to keep boat traffic out but I was mistaken. I read the TPWD article which confirms you can drift over it.
