Family heading up there for our first time Memorial Day weekend.

We are staying right off 259.

How is the fishing, crowds and where should I launch that time of year?

Any advice appreciated.

I may be able to shed a little light on the subject closer to your arrival, I can tell you where you need to eat. thumb

Fish the islands at night with a crankbait and catch walleye!

We went up there 2 years ago and stayed off of 259. Are you staying in a private log cabin? Ours was gorgeous.

Bring your spinning rod with a Ned rig!

Fishing should be excellent. Fish early if you are going to get a parking space, it will be crazy crowded. I get there before daylight and get off about 11. That is usually about the time all the hungover skiers arrive.

There are some gorgeous places up there. We used Hidden Hill Cabins and stayed in the Dakota Bear. It was so nice that we literally did not want to leave.

Okay TFF'ers

Will be at Broken Bow in a couple of weeks.

Is the south end of the lake clear to run other than the obvious points and such?

What boat ramp would be best for Memorial Day weekend?

Thanks for any info you folks can give me.

Yes, lower end is good to run, all over actually. Any ramp is good if you get there early. When you leave you won't get a spot back so stay as long as you intend to fish.
