Well as several of you know I lost my stepdad about a month ago. So have not been on the water yet. Ive been taking care of stuff and dealing with family. We were planning on hitting the Sabine this weekend but with the threat of rain and the way the river rises we held off. Decided to stay local we did finish conventional Friday but finally got out the flyrod and gave it a good work out Saturday! Absolutely zero small scale its all these fish were very healthy thick shoulders and fat. I dont know how many countless triples we had in two days but there were a lot. Best of all zero crowd if we get some of this rain forecasted this week I think every river in the metroplex will be flooded with sand bass. Hard to believe its mid February and we were able to catch fish like it was the middle of March. Thought about fishing today but havent got up the sand bass muscles dealing with over 100 fish a day yet so decided to recuperate LOL. It is definitely time to get out and explore whatever your favorite creek is because I have a feeling the fish are ready to go almost everywhere. Even had fish milting taking the hook out yesterday so its on. Even though I have most of them named the fish better be ready for the next month and a half two months because Im coming for them LOL. What a way to break the winter doldrums keep your fingers crossed for rain and get out there and fish.

Yes thanks guys I have never seen anything that aggressive! Perfectly fine taking care of the horses blurry vision test the next day cancer 27 days later gone. At least I give thanks there was zero suffering. My mom has been handling it well also and think I have her sit back up shes finally getting back to a little bit of her normal routine although it will never be normal again.

I guess I will add as far as fly selection goes I was alternating back-and-forth between a size 6 chartreuse and white Clouser and a size 6 chartreuse and white Clouser. When it gets to looking like that second picture as you see its still tied on keep using it because they will hit a bear hook.

Did you catch any with my flies hanging off their lips? I had to go home and reload at the vice.
