If the water is getting in the 50's, that is usually a really good indicator to start probing.

When do the crappie start spawning on lake Waco and surrounding lakes? thanks in advance. When you see the green LED lights of my boat up near the shoreline, you can bet it is time to go searching your favorite spawning holes...never sure when that is, seems to be different each year by a week or so...

They will spawn When the bluebonnets are in bloom YES!!! Also look for when the WRENS show up.
COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

When the dogwoods bloom, the crappie are spawning. ^^^ WHAT HE SAID ^^^ This is what I watch for, with the crazy Texas weather we have with the cold one day warm for a day or two and then cold again, I just wait till I see the dogwoods bloom and then I go.
If it was easy, everyone would do it

A friend just posted on another site that he was catching yesterday in 3' water buck brush. Mostly all females. East Texas lake.
