Mercury is the best there is on the water. That's why they out number the other brands, especially on bass boats stir

Have a diagnostics test run on it. If it hasn't been abused and is well maintained, get it! Love my '08 225 Pro XS

I have an 06 on my Cougar with over 700hrs.
Other than regular maintenance, all I've done is replace alternator....been very reliable and she can still push the Cat mid seventies easy

Definitely get a print out on the hours,etc

this one has 300 hrs on it and I know it has been well taken care of.

do you run fuel additives in the fuel ?
if so, how often ?

I try to run pure gas when ever I can but I've always used Seafoam in all my outboards
