I've got the Blaze and haven't noticed it counting extra steps, wish it would some days though. I've got to run 4+ miles or ride about 25 miles to break 10,000. So I know on days that I do where I'm not working out, we're walking all over the place.

I check my steps about 1x per week on my Fitbit. I average 8-15k. I have hit 24k+ on Saturdays when piddling round the house.
