I have a duckett ghost I’ve really liked. I love how the light tip assists with casting distance. I’m looking at buying another good cranking rod with similar features and performance. Problem is hardly any of the regular sports stores ever carry a true cranking rod in the $75-$100 price range. Any suggestions on a good cranking rod that isn’t crazy expensive? I’m not a tournant fisherman anymore so it’s just for leisure. It will be used by my son and for bass, stripers, and sandies too. Thanks for any input

If it ain't yours don't mess with it!

I bought a Lews David Fritz perfect crankbait rod for around $75, I read a lot of positive reviews on it before buying it. You might look it up.

Cabela's ZX tournament Crankshaft is a good crankbait rod for about $100.

Dobyns 705CB is a fantastic 1/4-1oz crankbait rod that is sold now at Academy stores and Cabelas for $110. My wife and I both have one and it is highly recommended with tons of great reviews available online. Very versatile for lipless, squarebill, jerkbaits, topwater treble hook baits, etc... Good power, but a really nice tip and taper to help keep fish on. You can often find them on sale for up to 20% off (online) putting them in that $88 range.

I agree with the Dobyns CB rod. VERY nice for what you pay. Thy have a NEW rod lineup called the COLT series, vs. the Fury series that has a $79.99 rod for the same thing. BUT, I would go with the FURY series rod, as it has been proven again and again for CBs. Hope this helps. Tight lines keep safe and good luck.
