Im looking at picking up some Garmin 93sv I believe they are.

Do any of you guys run them?

How do you like them?

Anything is better than what I have now which is nothing, so im not too picky.

I have a 93sv and a 73cv and I like them. I would get the new 93sv Plus unit.

Right now I have a 1042xsv, Striker plus 5, 73dv with Panoptix, and a 73 plus sv on my boat. All great units. I would also suggest the 93sv plus.

I have a 7" Stryker up front. Just 2D, downscan, no base map. Have to say the 2D sonar is as good as my Lowrance at the console, and the downscan may be a touch better.

Watch West Marine. For some reason, they will run pretty good sales every now and then on Garmin.

Make sure you find one that does not have the quick connect bracket, mine is in the bottom of Lake Lewisville, blew off the bracket at 60 mph.

is there a way to get rid of it? Ours came off in some rough water and we got lucky it stayed in the boat.

Mine fell in my lap after hitting a big wave....put some bungy straps on it and so far so good.

He!! I can hardly get them unhooked when I want to take them off. I had one fall off one time but I'm sure I didn't have it snapped in completely.

Just have to make sure you hear the snap when you put the unit in the mount. I love being able to take the units off easily after fishing and storing them in the truck or house. For the price, I think Garmin is awesome. I have a 9 at the console and 7 on the bow.

See you on the lake and have a great day!
